it wasn't my weekend, and it sure as hell isn't going to get any better.

i'm wearing myself out, trying to keep a smile on my face.
but all i really want to do is fall apart and have everyone see what an ugly, fucked up piece of shit i really am.

the thing is, i'm terrified that no one will give a fuck that i'm falling apart at the seams.

as much as i've tried to fight it, i find myself back at square 1.

i'll take that double-whammy with a side of insincerity and a cup of JD on the rocks. "maybe it's not my weekend, but it's gonna be my year." throwing off the anchors and refusing to blame the world for the hole i've dug myself into. ~~self pity, broken records, melodramatics.~~

i'm smiling, and there's not a goddamn thing the universe can do to stop me.
not sure if this is optimism, but it sure feels better than what i had before.

prom hype is speading like swine flu.

now that i think about it, going stag won't be that bad. but i'll probably end up stealing someone elses's date and holding then ransom on the dancefloor. still gotta plan the transportation, but other than that, everything else is set.
